The New Table

Well here we go again.
Back a few months ago. Jen and I were out and about looking at antiques. We had been looking for a few different pieces for our new home in Ajax. We were looking for a kitchen table, a coffee table, and a table for using as a computer desk. So there we were at a place called Red Rock Antiques, which is just out side of Fendlin Falls. Jen saw this ugly green table, with a rough top and shaky legs. My first thought was that it was a piece of junk, but Jen saw the potential in it. We talked about it and then went to the owner and started the negotiations. They wanted $50 for it but Jen and i got them down to $30 and we took it.
We got the table back to Jen's parents house at Balsam Lake and unloaded this ugly table. Jen and I talked about it on the way to the Lake that it would be the new Computer desk. So we had Jen's Dad take a look at it and right there he helped me start to refinish it. We pulled the top layer of press board off and tossed it. We then looked at the top layer of wood and it looked really warped and old. So i started to sand it all down. I even sanded the legs, which had the ugly green colour on them.
The following week Dad told me that he had another look at the table and said that the top of the table was to far gone and to rip the whole top of the table off. So we did! Dad gave Jen and I a few idea's for the top. We took the bottom of the table and attached fresh new planks of Pine. Jen's Dad help to put it together, then we counter sink ed the nails and filled with wood filler.
After a few weekends of painting, Staining, and sealing the table we hooked up a little shelf for the key board to go in and out from under the table.
Then it was finished and we were able to bring it home. It looks amazing with the computer and everything. I even have more room on the table and I love it.
If you ever get the chance to see Jen and I ask about the computer table and we would love to show all.

Let's Go! Shower Time!

So the other day I was working with Jen on a catering for one of our Aunt's. It was a wedding shower and was there was about 40 people in total for this splendid event. I had gone earlier in the week's before to get a feel for the way to get things set up. Aunt Tony has a beautiful home and we looked at where things would go and how to set it all up to run smoothly.
Then last week we got all of the food, prep ed it all and got busy working. Jen and I were at work all day. Even in the afternoon we got Jen's Dad to help out.
In the end we arrive at the day of the shower already to go and set up. The set up went great and fast. I assembled all the dishes there and then arranged them on the table(I even had a little help from family). We had a nice center piece of flowers and then I took some green ferns and placed them on the table to give it that final touch. At the end of the day the the party was a huge success with everyone complimenting on how everything looked and tasted.

I just wanted to thank everybody for there hard work in helping me and helping with the shower in general.

Oh and Rawl this mean that ii will be soon on my way to your place to make a few dishes for your Podcast's

See ya

Where Have all the good Bloggers Gone?

So the other day i was fooling around with I-Tunes and i thought i have not heard much from my good friend Rawlio. So I started to download some of the new as well as some of the old podcast's of his. In doing this I found that his topic was "The death of the Blogger!" and I thought hey! I need to get back on track here. I really need to let people know my thoughts and hope that I can make them turn around and go "Hmmmm!" Now don't get me wrong I hope to put up something new everyday, but hopefully i can start with a few entries a week to start.
As I was listening he said that some blogs were dying out and that pod casting is the new and up coming thing. I believe that Blogging will always be around. It is like books. Books have been around for centuries and this give people a chance to sit down for 5 to 10 minutes to read about other peoples thoughts on there own time. Blogger will always be here unless something tragic happens to the Internet or computers, people will always have something to write about. Rawl did touch on this as well and would agree that hopefully more and more people will update there Blog.
Now with pod casts being the present thing for people to give their thoughts or option on different topics. It is like having a radio show of your very own. The only problem is people have to take the time and listen to the podcast. Some of them can be very long and drawn out. Not everybody can take the time to just sit there an listen to some one take on and on.
That is where blogger will take the lead. You see we all can take the time to read just a few short sentences, but not all can sit and listen to someone talk for 20 min.

Just some food for thought!

Well the other day I was thinking to myself and found that my last post was a little lacking. I just did not have that much to say other than the fact i had seen Spiderman 3 and thought it was just OK. Not good or Bad. Then i took a look at this summers listings for movies and found something very interesting. I found that this was the season of 3's. What i mean is there is quiet a few different movies witch are coming out this season that is the third movie of the series.
As you all know we have Spiderman 3, witch was OK. We also have Ocean's 13, Rush Hour 3, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, and Resident Evil 3. I do hope that I get a chance to see these movies this summer and write a review, but have been busy with life. Weather it with work, family, or even just getting outside.
What dose this mean? Next summer the season of 4!

I don't know just some food for thought.

Spiderman 3

Well Look who is back.....The Spider is here to stay.
Last Friday night Jen and I went to see Spider man 3. What can i say it was not all that great and could have been better. I found that Peter's Character had become very childish and it could have focus more on the development of Venom's Character. I do give the film credit for the special effects and the Sandman was a great addition to the story. I did like it when Stan Lee talked with Peter, but then again he did star in all three Spider man movies.
Over all I believe that the movie was not bad nor was it good. So check it out for your self. I was just talking with J.D. and we both agreed that the best Spider man Movie was Part 2, then 1, then, 3

For me I give it 3 out of 5
